H-1B FY 2026 Registration is Open Now through March 24: Key Dates & Process Explained

The H-1B cap registration period for FY 2026 opened at noon (ET) on March 7, 2025, and will close at noon (ET) on March 24, 2025.

During this period, prospective petitioners and representatives must use a USCIS online account to register each beneficiary and pay the $215 registration fee per beneficiary.

For those without a USCIS online account, an organizational account will be required. Returning users who did not register for FY 2025 will have their accounts automatically converted to organizational accounts upon login.

This year, USCIS will continue using the beneficiary-centric selection process, where unique beneficiaries are randomly selected rather than multiple registrations increasing selection chances. Selections will be notified by March 31, 2025.
