Employment Authorization Overview for L-2 and E Dependent Spouses
In November 2021, USCIS implemented new changes affecting employment authorization of L-2 and E dependent spouses. USCIS announced that these individuals no longer need to apply for EAD in order to be eligible to work. They are now authorized to work incident to status, i.e. by being in L-2 and E status.
The attached flyer provides an overview of employment authorization for L-2 and E dependent spouses and gives information as to which documentation is now accepted as proof of work authorization for these individuals.
